Big Asheville Science Salon

Want to have some fun and stretch your brain with some other Jubilants? Meet us next Wednesday, June 7th, at the Great Wild Nowhere at 122 Riverside Dr. in the Cotton Mill building in the River Arts District for a conversation about Restoring the American Chestnut. Doors open at 6pm for drinks and conversation, and the presentation starts at 7pm. Dr. Jared Westbrook, Director of Science for the American Chestnut Foundation, will talk about fighting the blight that took out almost all these trees a century ago. As the salon says, “Get ready for some serious science in a seriously un-serious setting.” Some members of the Earth Team and staff plan to attend, so come find us there!
